Christmas Movies to Get You in The Holiday Spirit

Miracle on 34th Street (1994) – This movie is just the sweetest and it always gets to me. It has a way of bringing you right back to the joy and innocence of Christmas, even when we start getting caught up in all the shopping.

Elf – Is this considered a classic yet? Elf is a staple to watch during the holidays (and so quotable!). It shows the magic of Christmas contrasted against the cold, commercialized season in New York, giving a light-hearted laugh along the way. This is always the first Christmas movie I put on to get in the holiday spirit.

Home Alone – The perfect holiday movie for a good laugh. The second one might be my favorite out of all the Home Alone movies and I watch it every year. Sitting around the fire, eating popcorn, and watching this movie with my younger siblings is always a blast.

The Polar Express – The most magical of them all, this movie really brings out everyone’s inner child. The songs are catchy, the message is lovely, and the cinematography is breathtaking.

Love Actually – This one is hands down my favorite rom-com holiday movie. The first 2 minutes of the movie always makes me tear up because the message is so beautiful. It’s funny and sweet at the same time, perfect to watch with the girls, or while snuggling up on a cold night.

I absolutely love watching holiday movies and these are only a few of my favorites. I’d love to hear your favorites and recommendations in the comments!
